Life Hacks For Success, Fulfillment & Happy Days All Year Long
Here are a few of the non-fitness lessons I learned over the last 6 years.
Plan your day. That way you’ll know exactly what you need to do to have an awesome day. And an awesome life is nothing more than a string of awesome days.
Know what you want. Your goal is your compass in life. If you know what you want to achieve you can work backwards to figure out what it takes to achieve it. But if you don’t know where you’re going with your life, you’ll never get there.
Fail fast. You’re gonna make mistakes and your results will reflect them. Learn what you need and move on.
There are no quick fixes. The fact that you want it now is keeping your from putting in the work needed to get it. And you’re gonna to spend the next year looking for that quick fix anyway, why not spend it doing the work that can actually get you the results this time.
Do more. One piece of advice that you can take action on and turn into a daily habit is worth more than all the knowledge in the world if you’re not gonna do anything with it.
Manage your focus. Give your attention to what you want. With everything else, be a sieve.
Bite off more than you can chew. It’s okay to be uncomfortable. It’s okay to feel confused. It’s okay to suck at something. Those are all perfect places to start something great.
Create. You’ve got to feel successful outcomes before they can happen.
Learn to grow. Everything you hate or suck at right now is just a lack of skill. You can turn anything around. Break your goals into skills and your skills into behaviours and you can achieve anything.
Self reflect. Ask yourself is this working for me? How can I make this better? Am I getting the results I want? You’ll be amazed by how much more power you have in you own life when you start questioning yourself.
Take stock of your time. If you are unhappy with your life, the first thing you need to do is to keep a detailed journal of where you spend your time. Nothing will give you a reality check quicker than this exercise.
Get lost in what you’re doing. Whatever it is, do it will all of you. You’ll find yourself fulfilled with what you have right now.
Your feelings don’t matter. If you want to succeed at anything you need to train yourself to perform without motivation. Ultimately getting what you want tomorrow is more important than how you feel today. Some days suck. Work anyway.
Ruthlessly cut out negativity. Any form of negativity is time wasted. It doesn’t mean it’ll never happen again, but once you realise this, you’ll waste a lot less of your own time.
Leave yourself wanting more. Know that the best is yet to come.
